Description

Class Title: Apologia Swimming Creatures

GRADES 3-4

Course Description: From the microscopic to the massive, no stone is left unturned in your student’s passage through the waters of the world. Each week we will complete an experiment or project reinforcing the scientific method and the concepts studied. As well as these weekly projects and experiments, we will have occasional dissection days in class as well. First semester we will dissect a frog, fish and a shark. Second semester dissections include a crayfish, clam, squid, and sea star.

Please purchase the textbook ONLY: Exploring Creation with Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day (ISBN #9781932012736) and only one copy per family is needed. DO NOT purchase the Apologia Notebooking Journal. I have created custom student worktexts to accompany the Apologia textbook. These lab and homework assignment books are included in the class fee. Typical weekly homework should take about 30 minutes-1 hour per week to complete. A detailed syllabus will be provided at the start of the course. This is a comprehensive full science course for the year.

Cost of Class (per semester): $300 (This fee includes lab materials and student books). Upon registration, a $50 non-refundable deposit will be due, which is applied to the cost of the course.
