Informal Logic
Grades: 7th & 8th grade
In this class we will spend the first semester recognizing analogies, constructing analogies and working with stylistic devices. Studying analogies equips students to become better thinkers and communicators. The second semester we will be identifying fallacies in arguments. The ability to recognize fallacies helps us to think and speak truthfully. There will be roughly 1hr of homework per week. This class will be fun and involve student participation through class discussion.
