It is my hope that students starting my class will be proficient in their math facts, as well as have exposure to basic geometry and fractions.

Course Description: 

Math 6 is a comprehensive course designed to provide students with a solid foundation in key mathematical concepts and skills. The course is divided into two semesters, each focusing on specific topics to ensure a thorough understanding of fundamental mathematical principles.

Semester 1:

1. Whole Numbers & Operations

2. Integer Operations

3. Rational Numbers

4. Expressions & Properties

Semester 2:

5. Equations & Inequalities

6. Proportional Relationships & Percents

7. Measurement & Geometry

8. Data & Statistics

Throughout the course, a variety of instructional methods, including real-world applications and collaborative learning activities, will be employed to engage students and deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. The goal is to equip students with the essential mathematical skills and knowledge necessary for success in future mathematics courses and everyday problem-solving scenarios.

Cost Per Semester: $320 per semester and we meet two times per week.

Bio: 

I am Savannah Boehrer, and I am honored to be teaching mathematics at Pacific Cross Preparatory. With a commitment to fostering an intellectually stimulating as well as supportive learning environment, I am excited to bring my expertise (and, admittedly, excitement for math) to the classroom.

A bit about me—I graduated from Pepperdine University back in 2019 and was lucky enough to find San Clemente as my new home during my “Covid relocation.” I now can not imagine life anywhere else. My husband and I have been married for three years, and we will celebrate our sweet daughter's first birthday in May.

While I'm not a full-time teacher, I've been wearing the math tutor hat since 2015. I've worked with a range of students, from 6th graders to those diving into the challenges of Calculus. It's been a fantastic journey, and I genuinely enjoy helping students make sense of math.

As we venture into this experience together, my goal is to make math relatable and enjoyable for your child. I'm here to provide support, encouragement, and a positive learning environment. Looking forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth!
