Project-based History 

Grades: 

K-2 

Course Description:  

Some of the topics you can expect your student to learn: 

-The Pledge/history of American flag/National Anthem 

-America's iconic symbols 

-Founding of country 

-Important historical documents 

-Community helpers (Law enforcement/Fire/service member--to visit class) -Reading maps 

-Voting process 

-Various countries 

-Various presidents 

-Economy/money 

We will start each class with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Each week a student will get to take home our class stuffed CA grizzly bear, “Flags” and share it's adventures with the class the following week. We will implement games, snacks, costumes, and books into our lessons to make them more engaging. 

I will be sending home various samples of their work for you to have. I will send out a monthly email recapping what they've learned. No homework assigned.

$240 + $15 (materials)

Bio: 

Whitney lives in San Clemente with her husband, 4 children, and their sweet  Aussiedoodle, Darcy. It has been a blessing and privilege to homeschool her children for the last 9 years. She enjoys teaching children important foundational concepts that they can carry with them for life. She values how important it is to get back to the roots 

of our country and the godly principles it was founded on. It is her prayer that future generations can learn from our past and honor God with how we preserve history, as well as how to be good citizens of our country.
