Farida Hsu has been involved in the homeschool community for the past almost two decades. She is excited to be a part of the Pacific Cross Preparatory with Laura Blackann, whom she had served with at the Independent Learning Academy (ILA). Farida was the Director of Planning & Development at ILA. She has enjoyed teaching Economics and Personal Finance classes and watched her students take money issues to heart.
As an avid traveler, Farida enjoys learning and experiencing different lands and cultures. She hopes to share that passion with her World Geography and Culture students in the classroom and on field trip experiences.
Having a background in the corporate planning and finance world, she believes in the importance of financial literacy for students, from economic models, as our country contemplates capitalism versus socialism, to how to manage money and budget. Therefore, she looks forward to expose students to and impart wisdom on the various aspects and application of economics and personal finance. Her degree in graduate business administration and business experience will come in handy during the hopefully lively discussions in class.
Grateful to God for the opportunity to educate her children, she believes that the Pacific Cross Preparatory will be a blessing to the homeschool community.
