Meet Mrs. Watson:
Hi, I’m Heather Watson, an experienced educator with a passion for making history
come alive for students. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have worked with
children from preschool through high school in a variety of settings, including Western
Christian Schools and international classrooms in Russia and Armenia.
As both a classroom teacher and a homeschooling parent, I deeply value interactive
and immersive learning. I attended National University and have dedicated my career
to creating enriching educational experiences. Recognizing the importance of social
development, I founded Social Graces Civility Classes, an after-school program
designed to serve low-income communities by helping students build confidence and
essential life skills.
I’m thrilled to bring history to life through the American Girl book series, using
literature, hands-on activities, and cross-curricular connections to engage students in
a meaningful way. My goal is to inspire young learners and foster a lifelong love of
history.
