Class Title: Ancient History
Grades: 5-6th
Course Description: Do you enjoy learning about the mystery and intrigue of
ancient times? Students will journey through Ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greek,
Rome, and China. We will study what life might have been like through the eyes
of kings & queens, Egyptians, knights, and more! Projects such as History Pockets
will be created in class for deeper understanding. This is a two-semester course.

Bio: Julia Hsu lives in Laguna Niguel with her husband, two children, and their
beloved dog, Maple. She received her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine, a
Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UC Irvine, and a master's degree in
Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University. She has taught various
grade levels ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade. She has worked in both
public and private school settings and is a homeschool mom herself. Her passion
has always been teaching in the classroom and creating a hands-on environment
for learning.
