High School Economics
Grades: 10th-12th
This one-semester course provides high school students with a comprehensive introduction to economics through the lens of a Christian worldview. Students will explore fundamental economic principles, including supply and demand, market structures, and the role of incentives. The course will also examine the global economy, business economics, financial markets, and government policies, analyzing how they align with biblical principles of stewardship and human flourishing.
Through engaging discussions, case studies, and real-world applications, students will learn how economic systems function and how individuals, businesses, and governments make financial decisions. They will also explore ethical considerations in economic policy, the impact of globalization, and the responsibilities of personal Christian financial stewardship.
By the end of the course, students will develop critical thinking skills to analyze economic issues, understand the implications of financial choices, and apply economic principles in their personal and professional lives, all while considering how to honor God through wise economic decision-making.
