High School Biology
Grades: 9-12
Course Description:
This is a one-year lab-based course which focuses on the basic structural,
physiological, ecological, and genetic principles that are seen in living organisms. This
is a class where students can really experience hands-on learning supported by in-
depth material about God’s perfect design in the world around us.
This course includes: Chemistry and Structure of Life, The Cell and Cell Membrane,
Metabolism, Photosynthesis, Cellular Respiration, DNA, RNA, and Proteins, Cell
Reproduction, Genes, Genetics and Heredity, Creation vs. Evolution, Biological
Classification and Viruses, Ecosystems and Ecology, Kingdom Eubacteria and
Archaebacteria, Kingdom Protista, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Animalia, Kingdom
Plantae, Human Anatomy and Physiology.
Students are expected to read the text, answer homework questions, memorize
vocabulary, participate in labs and fill out reports, and complete quizzes and tests. Extra
credit will be offered throughout each semester. This class will be fully completed
through the Google Classroom where a gmail account is required.
Cost Per Semester: $495, plus a one-time $70 lab fee (for the year)

Bio: Hi! My name is Bri Eaton, and I am thrilled to be your student’s Biology teacher this
year! I have had the privilege and joy of homeschooling my 5 children for a total of 10
years, and we are blessed to be a part of the PC Prep community! I graduated from
Azusa Pacific University with a B.S. in Applied Health/Pre-Physical Therapy. My love for
