High School Biology

Grade: 9^th Grade

Course Description: This is a one-year lab-based course which focuses on living organisms and their physiological makeup as well as the ecosystems in which they live. Students will get to participate in hands-on experiments as well as learn in-depth material about our amazing world which God created.

This course includes: Introduction to Biology, Chemistry of Life, DNA, RNA, Cells, Photosynthesis, Cellular Respiration, Cell Division, Genetics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Invertebrates, Vertebrates, Human Anatomy, Plants, Environmental Science, Ecosystems, and Evolution and Intelligent Design.

Cost Per Semester: $495 plus a one-time $70 lab fee (for the year)

 Deposit: A $100 non-refundable deposit is due by July 16^th. This deposit will hold your student’s spot in the class and will also go towards the first semester tuition. The laboratory fee and remaining first semester payment ($395+$70= $465) will be due by August 16^th.

About Christin:

Christin Goodrich holds a B.S. in Biology from UCLA, a Master of Education from Concordia University Irvine, and a California teaching credential specializing in science. She has taught biology and integrated science in numerous educational settings, including Dana Hills High School, Durham High School for Girls (UK), Moody Bible Institute, and California Connections Academy. Christin is wife to John and mother to Justin (15) and Kenny (9). She loves using science to showcase God’s majesty and creativity and is committed to teaching young people how to defend their faith using science and Scripture. Christin is a member of Compass Bible Church and is excited to teach and get to know your student at PC Prep.
