After earning her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at Cal State Fullerton, Arika’s first
teaching position was in the Kindergarten classroom. Since then, she has held various
K-9th grade positions teaching public, private, virtual, and home school classes.
Teaching over the past 20+ years has allowed Arika to understand better how each
student learns. She can make learning interactive, engaging, and fun through a
conversational style classroom and by giving positive encouragement. Therefore,
students will be more knowledgeable and inspired after attending classes.
During the past 13 years, Arika has been homeschooling her two daughters, both in
college now, and helping homeschool families navigate their homeschooling journey.
She also enjoys coaching homeschool moms by assisting them in gaining confidence
and clarity while following God's lead. However, if you asked her what she does with
her free time, she’d say drinking tea, napping, or reading a book.
