Introduction to Business
Grades: 11-12
Course Description: Focusing on the foundational aspects of business, this course will provide students with an overview of the core business functions including: management, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, and human resources. This course will also cover organizational leadership theories and practices.
Prerequisite: N/A
Cost Per Semester: $350 This includes tuition as well as a fee for course materials (course notes, classroom/homework exercises, reading material, etc.) which will be provided to the students.
*Please note – pending approval – students *may* be able to receive college credit for this course with a payment of an additional transcription fee to California Baptist University.*
Textbook, workbooks, or materials needed for class: 3-ring binder for handouts, pencils/pens for taking notes; stapler, computer for reading online materials

Bio: For over fifteen years, Dr. Natalie Winter has taught business concepts to both undergraduate and graduate students at California Baptist University. Prior to entering academia, Natalie worked in the corporate world as a director of marketing, and she continues to provide business consulting services to a variety of for- and not-for-profit entities. Natalie has a doctorate degree in organizational leadership and a master’s degree in business administration. She is looking forward to helping high school students develop a broad understanding of core business concepts.
