Description

Life Science

Grades: 7th

Course Description:
In this engaging and interactive Life Science course, students will explore the wonders of God’s creation through the study of microorganisms, plant life, cells, genetics, the animal kingdom, human anatomy, and environmental science. Using a Christian worldview, we will examine how living organisms are intricately designed and connected, showcasing the order and purpose in God’s creation.

Through hands-on experiments and investigations, with real-world applications, students will develop a deeper understanding of biological concepts while strengthening their critical thinking and scientific inquiry skills. This course will encourage students to see science as a way to glorify God, appreciate His handiwork, and develop a sense of stewardship for His creation.

By the end of the year, students will:

  • Understand the structure and function of cells and the building blocks of life.
  • Explore genetics and inheritance as part of God’s design.
  • Study the diversity and classification of plants and animals.
  • Investigate the complexity of the human body and how its systems work together.
  • Examine microorganisms and their roles in health and ecosystems.
  • Discuss the impact of humans on the environment and biblical principles of stewardship.

Through a combination of scripture, scientific discovery, and interactive learning, students will gain an appreciation for the beauty and complexity of life while growing in their faith and scientific knowledge.
