Social Graces Life Skills & Etiquette Class
Grades: K - 3
Course Description:
Social Graces is a fun class where we’ll learn how to be kind and respectful to others!
Your child will practice using good manners, like saying “please” and “thank you,” and
how to use a fork and knife properly when eating. We’ll also learn how to be nice to our
friends and teachers, and how to talk and listen in a polite way. Boys and girls will both
learn that good manners are important for everyone! We’ll practice being helpful,
saying kind words, and showing respect to others. By the end of the class, your child
will know how to act nicely and feel proud of their good manners! In this class we use
engaging games, role-playing, props, and music to teach essential social skills. Topics
covered include American-style dining etiquette, thoughtful gift-giving, making proper
introductions, party manners, conversation skills, and much more!

Meet Mrs. Watson
Hello, my name is Heather Watson, and I am the creator of Social Graces. My love for
children began in my young adulthood, but my life truly changed when God called me
to be a missionary in Russia and Armenia. During those years, I had the privilege of
teaching children about God’s immense love for them. The Lord also blessed me with
the opportunity to train adults in teaching children—a role that was virtually unheard
of for an American woman in Eastern Europe. Being able to speak and teach within the
Christian community was, in itself, a miracle. God has a beautiful way of using the
least of us for His glory.
This experience deepened my passion for teaching children about Jesus, and I carried
that calling back to America. For over 20 years, I have taught in private Christian
schools and homeschool communities, helping shape young hearts and minds.
Social Graces was born when I recognized a gap in my own children’s understanding of
how to conduct themselves. I have always been drawn to the art of etiquette and the
importance of knowing how to behave in any situation. I believe that even the youngest
children can learn to carry themselves with integrity, respect, and self-control. The
Bible teaches us, through the example of Jesus, how to live with kindness, love, and
honor.
My goal is to help your children grow in confidence, kindness, and generosity,
equipping them with the grace and character to shine in the world.
