Grades: 2nd & 3rd Grade

Course Description: Welcome to Ancient Greece & Rome! I look forward to fostering
a love for history this year! This course covers 32 events spanning the development of
Ancient Greece and Rome and the New Testament. Students will learn through
informative and engaging flashcards, starting with Minoan and Mycenaean cultures and
ultimately concluding with the fall of the Roman Empire. Knowing a timeline of history
is a crucial part of anyone’s education, and this course does just that!

rauBio: I have a California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and a Master's degree in
Education. As an educator, my goal is to develop lifelong learners and critical thinkers
so that students can use their skills to influence the world around them. I find immense
joy in teaching and a desire to reach children through differentiated activities. My
husband and I have two children, Peyton and Noah. Our family enjoys walks and trips to
the beach. I am a reading enthusiast! I enjoy children’s literature and historical fiction. I
have taught full-time in private education and now in the homeschooling community.
With my oldest now attending PCPrep, I am so thankful to be part of this school and the
sweet community here.
