Cursive/Phonics

Tuesdays 12:10 - 1:10

Cursive is taught with the Cursive First Curriculum - Spell to Write and Read Phonograms and Rules will be taught concurrently. First Semester is proper strokes and lower case cursive formation, multi-letter phonograms and simple words. Second Semester is proper upper case cursive formation and multi-letter phonograms and words.

Cursive practice sheets will be emailed to you to print. No other supplies or materials are required.

I have been teaching primary grades for over twenty years.  I took a six year hiatus to raise my two children, Wyatt, now 22 and Olivia, now 21. My son graduated this year and started his career in business in Oregon. My daughter is senior at Oregon State Univeristy. I am currently an empty nester in my treasured hometown of Dana Point with my husband, Eric and our four beloved pooches, Mavi, Maleficent, Mojo, and Murphy. 

I have been incredibly blessed to have taught for homeschool hybrid programs for a decade. I started with math games, cursive/phonics, and creative writing classes. I was then asked to pilot the first Kindergarten program class. Boom! My life was filled with immediate joy and purpose. Those little humans light up my life daily. Witnessing my students gleaning imformation, being empowered by knowledge – Plainly, feeling smart and accomplished is such a beautiful gift I receive each day. Their smiles and goodness make all my earthly worries disappear. 

The the homeschool community has given me a deeper faith. Each day, I am surrounded by the most loving, supportive, and appreciative teachers, students, and families.  My cup runneth over!
