Course Title: Digital Photography Class Description: This hands-on digital photography course combines creative exploration with technical skill-building. Students learn camera operation, composition, lighting, and editing while working in portrait, landscape, nature, and documentary photography. Using a DSLR or smartphone, students develop visual awareness, apply creative techniques, and refine their personal style. Through structured projects and critique, they build the confidence and skills to create purposeful images for portfolios, digital platforms, or future creative work. Bio: Gabe Sullivan is a professional photographer with over two decades of experience as a Senior Writer/Photographer for Surfer Magazine. His work has been featured internationally and exhibited locally at the Sawdust Art Festival and Festival of Arts. A longtime Laguna Beach resident, Gabe is also a proud PC Prep parent who enjoys sharing his passion for photography with students. Grades: 8-12 Cost Per Semester: $300
Required Materials:
A 35mm DSLR camera OR a smartphone with a camera (such as an iPhone)
A laptop and Adobe Lightroom (recommended but not required)
Class Minimum: 6 students
Class Maximum: 16 students
