Title of Class: Literature Circle 3/4
Grades: 3 - 4
Course Description: This Literature Circle class is a place where students will dive into books with cooperative groups to help stories come alive. Students will share interpretations, understanding and comments about the text. We will explore the elements of literature through hands-on activities, movement and connecting to their own lives. Students will work on vocabulary, comprehension and see how stories can take them to another time and place. This will be a supportive environment for all learners where they can share their thoughts openly and build community. It will be fun, engaging and my desire is that kids would love to read!
Each week I will send home a pacing guide, reflection questions and recommended assignments. I am so excited and honored to teach your child!!! If your student took this class last year, this year will have a completely new reading list and activities.
