Time: 1:15-2:15 Title of Class: Medieval PE Grades: 3-7 Course Description: Step back in time and experience the thrill of medieval sports in this one-of-a-kind P.E. class! Instead of modern games like basketball and football, we’ll compete in historical challenges such as jousting (with padded lances), spear throwing, and nine-pin bowling. We’ll take on the Scottish Highland Games, testing our strength with events like the caber toss, stone put, and hammer throw, and play Viking Kubb, a strategic throwing game sometimes called "Viking chess." Each class will be a mix of hands-on immersion and real historical learning, diving into the cultures behind these games.
