World History
Grade: 10th
Course Description:
World History is a year-long college preparatory course that will meet weekly to study
the key events that have shaped the world we live in today. The class will analyze global
historical developments from ancient times to the modern era through the study of
social, economic, political and ideological influences. Discussions will cover these
topics from a Christian worldview, and active class participation is encouraged. Each
week, students will build comprehension as they evaluate primary source information,
write analytical essays, conduct research projects, prepare presentations, and
participate in discussions to enhance learning. Home study is expected to take two to
three hours a week.
Cost Per Semester:
$300. No supply fees. Parents are responsible for purchase of books listed on syllabus.
Not eligible for charter funding.
